The Committee on the Rule of Law and Justice recommends that the Parliament should reject the draft law on amendments to the Economic Procedure Code (re appeal against refusal on the part of the Higher Economic Court to allow a case being processed in the Supreme Court of Ukraine)

The bill (Reg. No. 2660) suggests amend part two of article111-21 and article 111-22 of the Economic Procedure Code by stipulating that appeal against the judgement of the Higher Economic Court to refuse allow a case being processed in the Supreme Court of Ukraine may be made by five days, starting from the day of its enactment. The bill suggests also determine the procedure of consideration of the respective complaint in the Supreme Court.

People’s deputies attached attention to the fact that the existing legislation clearly determines jurisdiction and authority of the Supreme Court.
